Save me from my father! 05-01-2006A late winter evening 5 years ago Lonja was drawn through the city without a coat by his very drunk mother. He knew, that his father was waiting for them at home – drunken too and abusive as well. In despair Lonja shouted: MOM, SAVE ME FROM MY FATHER! A woman passing by heard his cry. She persuaded the mother to hand over Lonja to the Orphanage in the city where he has been living ever since. This last year he has not heard one word from his parents. In spite of being beaten daily and all the drunkenness, he is still missing them.
Frequently he visits Tamarra – the lady who saved him from the streets.Tamarra lives in a little house together with her husband, children, sons & daughters-in-law and grand-children – 10 people all together. Still there is room for Lonja, when he comes to visit sometimes during the week-ends. Today Lonja is 11 years old and he has 2 great dreams: to become a football-player and to have a family, that he can live with. In the photo Lonja is standing together with the principal of the orphanage.
